The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency, Sida, is a government agency working on behalf of the Swedish parliament and government. Our mission is to reduce poverty in the world. Through our work and in cooperation with others, we contribute to implementing Sweden’s Policy for Global Development. We carry out enhanced development cooperation with a total of 36 countries.

Free and fair trade is a fundamental part of inclusive economic development, which in turn is one of the eight thematic directions in the Swedish Policy Framework for Development Cooperation. Within Sida’s trade-related work, support for trade facilitation is significant at the global, regional as well as at bilateral levels
