Mobilising TACB for the implementation of the TFA

15 experts from NTFCs meet in Geneva to discuss "Mobilising assistance and capacity building for the TFA" from 2 to 3 June. The in-person meeting is part of a training programme for experts from National Trade Facilitation Committees (NTFCs) organised jointly by TFAF and Annex D+ organisations. The training runs from May to September 2025 and consists of online and in-person training sessions. 

With the training TFAF seeks to assist NTFCs to better engage with development partners over the assistance and capacity building for the TFA. whilst Many NTFC have successfully notified their TFA implementation categories, timelines and assistance needs, many are still in the process of identifying partners for the targeted technical assistance and capacity building. The in-person training proceees an opporunty to discuss how to design a comprehensive approach to the TFA implementation through prioritisation and sequencing,  how to improve domestic alignment of donor interventions and how to mainstream TF into national donor coordination mechanism and national development strategies. Participants also ahve an opportuntiy to meet multilateral implementation partners and to discuss their capacity development approaches and ongoing TFA support programmes. 

The training aims to strengthen the strategic planing capacity of NTFCs, to enanble the experts to better coordinate domestically across agencies TACb mobilisation and to enage with developmetn partners more effectively.
