Grant Selection Committee approves five grants

The TFAF Grant Selection Committee held it's first meeting on Wednesday 22 January 2025,
Four project implementation grant applications were submitted by the TFAF Secretariat to the Committtee. Three grant applications were approved for:
- Grenada (Art 6.1 and 6.2 – Fees and Charges) to build expertise in Grenada and five other OECS Members to set fees and charges for services in relation to import and export of goods on a cost-recovery basis.
- Kyrgyz Republic (Art.10.1– Formalities and Documentation Requirements) to Simplify digital data storage and submission for participants in cross-border trade
- Sri Lanka (Art. 3 – Advanced Ruling) to enhance Sri Lanka's advance rulings mechanism through digitalization
The Grant Selection Committee also approaved two Project Preparation Grants:
- Angola (Art 8 – Border Agency Cooperation) to fund a diagnositic study to identify opportunities and practices to improve border agency cooperation at the border crossing with Namibia;
- Senegal (Art 8 – Border Agency Cooperation) to fund a diagnostic study to identify opportunities for domestic agency cooperation using two road border crossings as basis for the assessment
As per the TFAF Operational Rules, the projects need to be launch within 6 months from the date of approval.
The next Selection Committee Meeting will be held in October of this year. The next deadline for submitting applications for the TFAF grant programme is 30.June 2025. More information on the grant programme and documents here
